DAVID OLENICK
LIVES / WORKS IN MANHATTAN, NY
After receiving his BFA from Parsons School of Design, David Olenick spent 15 years as a graphic artist and art director, developing t-shirts for some of the big names in the fashion industry. Then, he started working for a more manageable client - himself.
Olenick’s unique approach to the integration of humor, art, design, and fashion led to a breakout success with Threadless.com, where his signature designs earned him a ranking as the 6th most printed artist of 2013. He was subsequently asked to create his own collection of t-shirts as part of the Threadless "MADE" project in 2014.
In addition to online shops like Threadless and Ohh Deer, Olenick’s designs have appeared on products at Gap, Urban Outfitters, Barnes & Noble, and Target, and his work has been featured in publications including British Vogue, FHM magazine, The Telegraph, My Modern Met, and Print magazine.
